MexPup Adoption Aplication

Are you aware that an adoption fee is collected for all adoptions to defer costs for the care and medical treatment of adoptable dogs? Fee’s are subject to change and it’s best to refer to the individual dog's profiles, but a general guidline is: Small breed puppies up to 4 years old - $600, Small breed 4 yrs up - $550, Medium/Large breed puppies to 3 yrs - $550, Medium/Large breed 3+ yrs - $500, Senior and disabled $400-$500 depending on the dog *

Mexpup asks that you be available to go and get your pet. We do try to get them to the closest airport which is normally YVR in British Columbia, but it is the adopters responsibility to go and get their new pet. If the adopted cannot get their new pet a min donation to send a volunteer is $100.00 payable before the pet arrives. Please ensure you are aware of this and understand by answering in the box below. *

Please indicate that you are aware that the adoption fee covers spay/neuter, health exam, distemper complex vaccine and boosters up to date of adoption (some may be required after this date at the adopter's expense, deworming, testing and treatment for parasites, microchip etc). *

Please indicate that you understand that Mexpup Animal Rescue does not provide a dog license, and that you are required to contact the municipal and/or provincial governing body for your residence to register and/or license any adopted dog. *

Sometimes circumstances in our lives change that impact the dynamics of the family (moving, marriage, babies, divorce, returning to school etc). How will you manage changes like these in terms of your commitment to your pet? *

Your Home

A rescued animal will have a period of adjustment when entering your home. This period may be a few days to a few weeks and could result in temporary behavioral changes. Are you willing to commit to the adjustment period and follow recommendations for a smooth transition. *

Do you understand that you will be sharing your life with a dog for 10-18 years, who is totally dependent upon you for food, shelter, exercise, health and veterinary care? Are you willing and able to make this life-long commitment to a dog as a family member? *

References

Mexpup Canada Animal Rescue charges an adoption fee. These fees help to cover expenses incurred by the rescue. All dogs adopted through Mexpup will be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on certain vaccines.
By filling out this application, you confirm that you are in agreement with the following statements:
- I hereby certify that all statements are true.
- Should there be any changes to the information provided, I will notify Mexpup as soon as possible.
- There has been no event or information not disclosed in writing to Mexpup Canada Animal Rescue
which could reasonably be expected to have an adverse effect on the health, comfort, safety, or well-being of the rescue dog.
- I am aware this application must be approved before an adoption can take place.
- I have read the application and understand its meaning and agree to its terms.
- By submitting this application to Mexpup Canada Animal Rescue, I agree and consent to the collection, use and transfer of my personal information contained in this application for the purposes of processing my application.
